The Port of Rotterdam is ideally situated for Apellis Europe B.V. We are the biggest center for the storage of liquid chemicals in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region, with three tank terminals positioned in the most prominent refinery cluster in Europe. These integrated chemical storage facilities are capable of managing a variety of goods. Additionally, our clients have the option to upscale or downscale based on their needs thanks to our wide range of tank sizes. Additionally, we can expand our facilities to accommodate clients’ needs, such as storing renewable resources like biodiesel.
Apellis Europe B.V. three tank terminals are situated in the center of Rotterdam Botlek and are intricately connected to the nearby refineries and chemical plants. These terminals are an essential component of our clients’ supply chain infrastructure because of their excellent multimodal connectivity, which includes deep-sea vessels, barges, pipelines, trucks, and trains. This connectivity provides affordable access to industrial Europe.
Ship to ship discharge
The sea jetty is subject to the petroleum regime as of December 2023. Two seagoing boats, each weighing up to 100,000 tons, can be processed concurrently at our 420-meter sea jetty, seven days a week. The petroleum regime will apply to an area that is 300 meters long and 70 meters wide. We provide the ship’s jetty.
The discharge needs to be done using certified hoses suitable for products being discharged. The ship/agent will be responsible for supplying, connecting and disconnecting these hoses. Apellis Europe B.V. management guarantees healthy and safety environments (HSE) around the site where our tank farms are located as one of the key necessities because our operators guarantee the safety and handling of products, to prevent leakages that could dent the soil and aquatic habitat. Aorta Logistics B.V. provide commercial trading strategy on every oil companies in Netherlands and Asia that lease our storage facilities for immediate dispatch to client’s chosen location and also hold large quantities of their products in our storage tanks in accordance with signed agreements to enable the products be sold on contract basis or future deliveries to prospective clients.
